India's biggest automobile manufacturer Maruti Suzuki had been in the news for both good and bad reasons a few days back. The good news was the warm response and high number of sales volume achieved by its Ciaz sedan and the bad reason was failure of its Swift hatchback car in NCAP test. However, the company somehow managed to stay afloat in the business. Now, it seems that Maruti Suzuki is in damage control mood of its market value and hence a sportier version of its Ciaz mid-sized sedan car is very much on the cards with a few cosmetic tweaks only.
The sportier Ciaz will be updated inside out with same engine specification though. In updates, it can get Aero-Kit that has already been used on other Maruti cars, new front chin spoiler, side skirts, new rear spoiler and diffuser and much more. Apart from that, it would get same 16-inch alloy wheels, with new gray/metal finish though. For the interiors, the infotainment system will be more futuristic with built-in navigation and touchscreen display.
The other features of infotainment systems will be bluetooth, AUX-in, USB and CD/MP3 player and with sport seats, illuminated door sills, a couple of pillows to follow-up. As far as price is concerned, this new sportier model will be costing around INR 45,000-50,000 more than the current outgoing top model of Maruti Suzuki mid-sized sedan car.
