All-new Toyota Innova Crysta Set to be Launched in India by Mid-2016

The Toyota Innova Crysta that has been Unveiled at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo is set to be available in the Indian Showrooms by the mid of this year. As reported by Toyota India officials, the new Innova Crysta will be manufactured locally at TKM’s plant located in Karnataka.

The diesel variant of Innova Crysta is liable to go through the ban across the Delhi NCR region. Therefore, the company has decided to introduce the petrol variant, which comes powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, capable of delivering a maximum power output of 139 PS and a peak torque of 183 Nm. The engine shall be paired to a either a 5-speed manual transmission or 6-speed automatic transmission. The petrol variant has already been successfully launched in the Indonesian market.

Meanwhile, the available diesel variant that was previewed at the 2016 Delhi Expo will be powered by a 2.4-liter GD diesel engine, churning out 149 PS of power and 342 Nm of torque, also mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The top variant model is likely to get a 2.8-liter GD diesel engine that propels 177 PS. Moreover, Innova Crysta is larger in length in comparison to the outgoing models. The company finds the new model pretty suitable for the Indian roads. Looking forward to witness the MPV doing a good business across the country.
