Ather Energy to Expand its Reach to Other Cities Soon

Ather Energy that is Bengaluru based startup, can be considered as the first face of the country in EV technology. As of now, the company offers only two scooters in its lineup-the Ather 340 and 450 available only for the home city of Bengaluru. However, the company is looking forward to expanding its reach to other states soon.

Ather Grid that’s brand’s own EV charging infrastructure is the reason behind the delay in its availability in other cities where it’s willing to sell its e-scooters. However, the cities like Chennai and Pune along with Hyderabad and Delhi are confirmed to be the next to get Ather scooters by the second half of this year and early next year. A social media post confirms this information.

Another picture shared by the company’s Co-founder and CEO, Tarun Mehta is suggesting the sooner commencement of deliveries. As the image unveils a warehouse filled with finished products (Ather scooters) for delivery. Further, he added that the production has been increased and the inventory space for keeping these ready to deliver scooter is running out. Currently, the Ather scooters are available on sale only in Bengaluru. While the Karnataka buyers are also allowed to register their pre-booking in the former city. For the 340, the company asks for INR 1.15 lakh pricing and to opt the Ather 450 one has to shell out an amount of INR 1.30 lakh (on-road, Bengaluru).

In terms of pricing, both scooters are highly priced though the technologies and travel range provided by the scooters compensates its high pricing without a single doubt
