Audi A3 Cabriolet to Set up in India Next Month

Audi has already launched its A3 sedan in the country and now, the manufacturer will set up the same vehicle in the Cabriolet body structure in India next month. Based on  Audi A3 sedan, the Cabriolet has been adduced at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo with four seating arrangement and the complex metal folding roof will be replaced by the conventional soft top. The noteworthy point is that the roof can be opened as well as closed automatically within a very short time period of 18 seconds alongside the speed of 50 km/h. The vehicle gets an outstanding exterior features with superb bi-xenon headlamps including day time running LEDs and S-line body packages.

Inside the cabin, the Audi A3 Cabriolet is inspired by the sedan and it comprises seven inch pop up infotainment system, Audi MMI, dual zone climate control, navigation, rear view camera, sound system of Bang and Olufsen. Apart from the exteriors and interiors, the safety functions are also improved for the customers by adding ESP, ABS, traction control as well as airbags. Coming to the mechanical terms, the runabout is powered by a 1.8 litre 4 cylinder turbocharged engine to produce the appreciable output of 177.7 bhp and the peak torque of 350 Nm.

Considering a huge requirement for the diesel engine, the company is expected to put forward the 2.0 litre 35TDI mill. Moreover, the outgoing version has been developed in Aurangabad, while the cabriolet is anticipated to arrive in the country via CBU (Complete Built-up Unit) between the approx range of INR 45-50 Lacs.
