India-spec Audi Q5 Petrol Introduced At Rs. 55.27 Lakh

The 2nd-gen Audi Q5 introduced in January 2018 and now it receives a petrol engine option. The Premium Plus variant is priced at Rs. 55.27 lakh and the Technology trim is at Rs. 59.79 lakh. The petrol Q5 receives power from a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol TFSI engine.

The 2.0-litre petrol engine is able to generate an output of 252hp/370Nm. The Q5 engine will come mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission which is present in the diesel engine. It runs on all four wheel drive using signature Quattro system of Audi. The Audi Q5 obtains five drive modes auto, efficient, dynamic, off-road and comfort.

The petrol Q5 comes equipped with features like the diesel variant, which means it takes Android Auto, a wireless smartphone, Apple CarPlay connectivity compatible, and virtual cockpit are available.

The inclusion of the petrol engine will surely help the SUV to compete with the Volvo XC60, which is available now only along with the diesel powertrain choice. Currently, the rival to the petrol Q5 is Mercedes-Benz GLC 300, BMW X3 xDrive30i, and Lexus NX 300h.

In 2018, the company has launched the RS5 and the diesel Q5, coming with the petrol Q5 as the third launch in 2018. The company will introduce the new-gen A8, a flagship sedan revealing Audi’s preface face at the end of this year. The recently revealed A6 is expected to reach in India in 2019.
