Avan Trend E electric scooter, booking started Today; Launch price Rs 56,900

Avan Motors, after showcasing their new Electric scooter earlier this month has come to the final step and has launched its new Trend E in India. It is evident that recently this year Avan Motors showcased the new e-scooter Trend E at the Automobile Expo 2019 which was held in Bengaluru.

The new scooter by this Company is yet another addition to its lineup which has the pride to be lined up with models like the Xero and Avan Xero Plus. All the scooters in this lineup are based on the technology of detachable lithium batteries. These lithium batteries are however more expensive than the lead acid battery packs but have decent qualities which offer them a competitive advantage over the scooters packed with lead acid batteries as they are lighter than acid batteries and contain more charge.Talk about the price of this Trend E model, it ranges from Rs 56,900 for the base variant and Rs 81,269 for the top variant.

The model takes pride in adopting the same design as the conventional scooter. The Configuration is such that it has good sized 16” alloy wheels and imitates several features from the Avan Xero model. All the features like the underpinnings, front disc brake with single-piston calliper, rear coil shock absorber and telescopic front forks are just like that of the conventional scooters.

The battery strength a 60 km range is offered with the standard battery pack whereas, an additional would increase the range up to 110 Km. The charging time is 2-4 hours for this scooter with a maximum payload of 150 kgs offering a top speed of 45 km ph. The Trend E is showing high ground clearance as its USP. It bets on that the high ground clearance offered with Trend E models are best designed for the Indian Road conditions and speed breakers. The target market for the Avan Trend E are the riders from all age groups.

Avan Motors India, the two-wheeler manufacturer, manufacturing plant based in Pune has currently a success in creating a network of 30 dealerships in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka. They have the target to be dealing in states all around India and would be targeting for 100+ dealerships across the country.

This expansion plan would largely be targeting for their presence in 11 states and especially in Tier II and Tier III cities where the Electric vehicles are in demand and largely being adopted by the people. The Eleven talked states are Rajasthan, Punjab, West Bengal, Manipur, Assam, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Odisha

The expenses on setting up the dealerships would be incurred to the dealers themselves whereas the promotional cost would be borne by the Company. The dealers would be gaining a profit margin of 8-10 per cent per model. The sales target kept by Avan Motors is around 1,000 units per month and the product price for which ranges from Rs.47,000-Rs.82,000.
