After bombarding a wide range of Pulsars and commuter motorcycles in the Indian Two-wheeler market in the last 4 months, the Bajaj Auto Ltd is readying with another newcomer. The next expected Pulsar would be the younger sibling of the firm's flagship offering, Bajaj Pulsar 200NS; to be christened as Pulsar 150NS. With these back-to-back launches in the Indian market, the Bajaj Auto is hitting hard in the two-wheeler segment. The Pulsar line-up for the year 2015 is initiated by the most anticipated Pulsar RS 200, which is claimed to be the fastest Pulsar yet among the current offerings. The Race Sports motorcycle was being launched on 26th March, 2015, sharing its complete technical specs with the 200NS.
Getting into the technical details of the upcoming Pulsar 150NS, it is supposedly being sharing its engine specifications with the newly launched Adventure Sports motorcycle, Pulsar 150AS. It is featuring an air-cooled, twin-spark DTS-i motor configuration carrying an engine displacement of 149cc. The single-cylinder engine is tuned to achieve a churning power of 16.8 BHP @ 9500 revs and achieves a peak torque of 13 Nm @ 7000 revs, while mated to a 5-speed transmission. Being an Adventure Sports motorcycle, it is equipped with telescopic front forks and Nitrox monoshock at the rear. The stopping power has been taken care by front disc and rear drum brake.
As per Mr. Eric Vas, President of Bajaj Auto Motorcycles business, the firm is planning to expand its sports motorcycle range with the introduction of a new Pulsar. And, the top most expected motorcycle would be the Pulsar 150 Naked Sports, which would be making its appearance at a price tag of Rs 75,000 (Ex-Showroom, Approx). Being a Naked Sports motorcycle, it would be expected to feature naked line bodywork, taking design inspiration from the 200NS.
