BMW has already made an online debut for its its 1 Series facelift last month and now the manufacturer is aiming to unpack this runabout next month at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The car will get impressive cosmetic modifications, while mechanically it would remain unchanged. Design wise, there will be a bigger air intakes, chrome accents and redesigned kidney grille. The triangular units from the outgoing version has been detached by the latest designing language of BMW in order to meet with a more aggressive as well as a unique look as compared to its predecessor.
On the other hand, it also receives a flared wheel arches and horizontal line on the side profile. However, the rear end reckons a brand's popular rectangular wrap around lamps with the replacement of smaller units. Inside, the BMW 1 Series facelift includes latest upholstery, touchscreen system comprising optional navigation and dual zone climate control system. Mechanically, this runabout will remain same as before and would be available in four petrol as well as four diesel engine options. The existing base 116i variant is powered by a 1.5 litre three-cylinder petrol engine, while the top end M135i version gets a 3 litre diesel engine.
Notably, its premium model is likely to produce an improved power of 6 bhp than current one resulting 326 bhp to render zealous performance on the ways. A 6-speed manual and an optional 8-speed automatic transmission system will be present to do their duty beneath the skin.
