BMW Launches Mini Countryman Facelift in India

BMW has recently launched the facelift version of Mini Countryman in India at INR 36.5 Lacs. This compact crossover was unwrapped at the New York Auto Show, last year. This version of Countryman gets certain tweaked features on the exterior portion. Additionally, minor changes have been made to the interior. Earlier, the model was assembled in India but now it will be sold as a CBU (Completely Built Unit). It will be available in the market only with the diesel engine option, while the petrol variant will be discontinued. Customers will be able to make a choice between three shades- Jungle Green Metallic, Midnight Grey Metallic and Starlight Blue Metallic.

From outside, this luxury car features all new 17-inch alloys, new grille on the fascia, revised bumpers, and LED daytime running lights and fog lamps. Moving inside, the car sports a newly designed infotainment with black dials. The vents and controls get a chromed finish and the seats are raised a bit than in the earlier version. Other features remain unaltered like leather upholstery, multifunctional steering and huge leg space. The car is also equipped with safety features like airbags, ABS, EBD, etc.

Mini Coutryman

Moving further to the mechanical configuration, it is powered by a 2 litre, four cylinder turbocharged motor. Torqued at 270 Nm, this engine has the ability to generate 112 Bhp and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission system. The acceleration on offer enables the car to cover upto 100 km/h in just 11.3 seconds with the top speed of 185 km/h. Currently, the brand offers Mini Cooper D, Mini Cooper S and Mini Cooper Convertible followed by Mini Cooper Countryman positioned at the highest price.
