BMW to Launch S1000RR with retro fit cornering ABS

The renowned motorcycle brand BMW Motorrad is known as a big manufacturer of the street fighter bike across the world. Once again, the company is going to big bang in the global market as the German sports bike maker has made an announcement that its sports bike, S1000RR manufactured from 2012 to 2014, is going to be launched with retro fit cornering ABS system. The Australian bike maker, KTM is already using this new ABS system in their products. The cost of the ABS system will be €420 – €460. The BMW S1000RR will also feature with a 'race' mode.

In terms of Design, the full-faired sports bike gives a stunning look as it is featured with a new graphics and unique design. The shape of the bike is razor sharp and extremely clear. The head light component is more balanced and gives an aggressive look. It receives a host of features that includes muscular fuel tank, wind shield, twin head light, 46mm upside-down suspension, standard ABS, radial brakes and tubeless tyres. Braking duties are managed by the disc brake at the front side and disc and drum brake at rear. The rear set foot-pegs and split seat gives a sporty look and a comfortable riding to the rider.

Talking about the power, the motorcycle is powered by a water/oil-cooled, four stroke, inline and 999cc engine. The four titanium valves and two overhead camshafts motor is able to make a maximum power of 193 BHP and a peak torque of 112 Nm.

In domestic market, the existing model of bike is selling on the price tag of INR 27,55,446 (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The sports bike is available in a decent paint scheme in the market as Racing Red/Alpine White, Granite Grey Metallic Matt, Sapphire Black Metallic, Alpine White/Lupin Blue Metallic/Magma Red. The bike competes against its rivals as Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC ABS, Kawasaki Ninja H2 and Yamaha YZF-R1M.
