Datsun Asked to Withdraw Go Hatchback from India

On-drive safety is one of the aspects which has been practiced excessively by the Japanese car manufacturing companies like Nissan, Honda and Toyota. These companies have developed a range of not only extra-ordinary cars in each segment, but keep them updated with top-notch security as well. However, one recent incident which has come to limelight contradicts the practice of safety norms done by these world-famous companies. These facts became the topic of discussion when the Indian specs car from Datsun, a Nissan subsidiary Go hatchback miserably failed the frontal accidental test done by New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP), a global authority.

Datsun Go not only failed the test, but it ruled out any possibility of fitting the airbags as it's so weak and can't save the life of passengers even after using them. However, Nissan clarifies this fact by saying that the car meets all the criteria according to the country norms. Now, I think this means that the India roads are much safer than the European roads! Now, being a global authority, NCAP has asked Nissan to withdraw all Go hatchback from India and other international market as well and has asked the company to improve it before re-launching.

Apart from this, Indian manufacturer Maruti Suzuki's best-selling Swift hatchback too failed the test same as Datsun Go and defended itself by saying the same statement. So, I will only suggest you to re-think before buying these cars, if you're planning to.
