Datsun to Launch Go Plus MUV Soon

The MUV market in India seems to be on a rise as the competition between big names like Honda Mobilio and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, along with the promise of lunching an MUV from the investors like Renault with Lodgy MUV has taken the competition to an entirely new level. And now, another Japanese manufacturer has decided to feature in the same arena, that is Datsun with its Go Plus MUV. The car has reportedly gone under the production already and will roll out next year for the sale. However, the first few units would be used for the marketing purpose at the dealers to create a demand for this vehicle.

The car will get the same engine as its current hatchback version cousin Datsun Go is using, that is a 1.2 Litre 3-cylinder 67 petrol engine producing 67 bhp power and 104 Nm of torque, though the power may get some boost being an MPV and a better 1.5 Litre diesel engine may also get launched. The transmission system will be the same 5-speed manual gearbox, delivering power to the front wheels.

The design of the car will be as same as the Datsun Go hatchback and will be under the 4 meter length, meeting the Government standards. The seating configuration of the car will be 2+3+2 making it a feasible option for the buyers and occupants.
