Benelli,a legendary italian marque has entered to the Indian motoring market by joining hands with the DSK Motowheels in March 2015. The Benelli has received a warm welcome from the performace bike enthusiasts in the country. Since its introduction last year, the brand has made it tight grip in the superbike segment. The company’s achievement can be noticed from the cloaked sales figures as it managed to surpasses 3000 sales unit mark. Reportedly, it has been known behind these amazing sales figures, the Benelli TNT 600i has a major contribution of 1000 units sales within a year span.
The competitive pricing and the ABS version introduction in June 2016 are believed to be the main reasons behind the success of this in-line four powered Benelli 600i.
Commenting on the success of the brand, Mr. Shirish Kulkarni, Chairman, DSK Motowheels said,“DSK Benelli has managed to carve a strong niche for itself in India’s superbike industry thanks to our emphasis on performance coupled with compelling design language. Apart from the current product lineup, the Benelli Tornado 302 and the Benelli TRK 502 will also join their siblings by the end of the current fiscal. Moreover, the firm is also contemplating to increase dealership network with the introduction of 15 new stores in the country. Currently the authorised DSK-Benelli dealerships counts on 17. And to cater the booming demand automaker is likely to increase manufacturing capacity from 7500 units to 1 lakh units per annum by the end of 2017.
