Ducati Scrambler Approaching India at Rs. 5.31 lakhs Starting Price

Ducati has initiated a new breed in the classic range of motorbikes. The Scrambler was introduced during the Intermot event held in Germany, where it behaved the role of show stopper. Though, it is not a new bike for the world; the last generation model has seen its setting Sun during the mid years of gone century. The Italians have produced the vehicle wisely and the bike looks to be highly stressed one that has received a good before production research regarding the people’s taste towards classic motorbikes with vintage effect.

The good news here is the Scrambler is arriving here in India. The base price of the bike will fall around Rs. 5.31 lakhs ex-showroom, which will widen up with respect to variants. The bike will be coming with its four variants; Classic, Urban Enduro, Full Throttle and Icon. The Classic is going be the most expensive one of the lot. Ducati has initiated this bike for many other countries also and the production of the same will also be getting started within next few months.

The Scrambler is designed to be a naked dirt bike resembling art, which is crafted for hard-core enthusiasts which will be dealing more with the performance and less with the low power generating fields. The 803cc engine is borrowed from the Ducati Monster 796, but is tuned for a bit low on power and high on torque. The post tuning output of this bike shows 75HP of power at 8250RPM while the torque is whooped for 68Nm at 5750RPM. The engine is configured in L-Twin, Desmodromic distribution, 2 valves per cylinder, air cooled arrangement; the Desmodromic distribution is the Ducati’s own technology which is also abbreviated as DVT, used regarding the varying valve distribution for better combustion. The smoke emission of the bike matches with the Euro 3 norms

The bike will be available in a good range of colors with respect to the variants and all these variants will be built over the same platform with minor tweaks related to the looks and name resembling area of purpose. The maximum price of the range will go close to Rs. 6.20 lakhs with the classic variant. However, the January end will only be showing the Icon in the Ducati showrooms and will be following other genus later.
