Electric Superbike Kiwami for India by Terra

Indian will soon be seeing the electric superbikes burning out the road. Terra is an international vehicle manufacturer which has planned to launch their electric Sports bike Kiwami in India. The bike will be showcased in 2014 auto expo at greater Noida. The company aims to sell 10,000 bikes in India in next 2 years which will be followed by one more vehicle designed for commercial purpose.

The Kiwami super bike will be made available for Rs. 18 lakhs. It will generate a peek displacement of 1000 cc. Its lithium ion battery consumes 6 hrs to get fully charge it can run upto 200kms on that. Initially there will be only showroom/dealership of the company located in Gurgaon which will come under operation by next 4-5 months.

On launching event of this bike, CEO and founder Terra Motors Toru Tokushige, said, "India is the second largest producer of two-wheelers in the world, and hence it is an important market in our strategic growth plan. We intend to invest Rs 30 crore in the Indian market next fiscal (FY2014-15). With this mission, Terra Motors is set to deliver electric vehicles of high quality in India." to this added, "the company is aiming to sell 10,000 bikes in India in the next two years. Further, if the government plans to support us, we would be able to sell nearly 5,000 units of electric three-wheelers as well."
