Facelifted Toyota Etios and Liva Images Surface Online Ahead of September Launch

As India’s one of the holiest festivals Diwali is coming soon, all the automobile manufacturers are planning to upgrade some features over their products in order to encash more from the segment. While the other carmakers are busy in their schedules, looks like Toyota Kirloskar Motor has already made some cookies under its fleet in terms of facelifted Etios series. But, leaks happens in the industry. Thanks to GaadiWaadi, which has shared some images of both the Etios sedan and Liva hatchback online that are expected to be launched on September 13 this year.

It was nearly a few weeks ago, when Toyota had taken off the veils from Etios Facelift version as Platinum in Brazil and the spy shots of the India bound models are giving a similar glimpse to the said unit. However, keeping the Indian buyers choice, some changes have also been made there. On the aesthetic front, it sports a new V-shaped grille along with black honeycomb inserts and some chrome treatments nearby the redesigned fog lamps. Furthermore, the bumper has also been revised with large air intakes.

Over the side profile, we may get to see newly designed alloy wheels as well as side skirts to make it slightly sporty. Moreover, the rear end of the car will also house a revamped bumper and spoiler as the Brazilian unit. Moving inside the cabin, some tweaks have also been made here like refreshed analogue instrument cluster, leather-covered multifunction steering wheel and chrome air vents. The dashboard is amazingly designed in dual tone black and beige colour, while infotainment system is not similar to the Brazilian Platinum model.

Mechanically, it is expected to uphold the same powerhouse as of the outgoing models in the market. There are a 1.4-litre diesel and 1.5-litre petrol engine to propel the Etios sedan as well as Liva hatch is fitted with 1.2-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel motor. Both trims are only available with a 5-speed manual transmission box and till now there is no such news about any automatic gearbox for both the units.
