Ford has produced the very last unit of the Aspire in Sanand, Gujarat, the production unit and the Figo hatchback is also expected to follow the same. This hints that the company is going to launch facelift versions of the two cars soon. Although, it is possible only after the launch of the Freestyle which is expected in April. The equipement list of the Aspire and Figo are expected to be similar to the Freestyle.
Major Highlights Of Aspire And Ford Figo
- A brand new Aspire will be powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol motor from Ford’s latest Dragon family of engines.
- A new 5-speed manual transmission from the Freestyle
- The 1.2-litre engine will be the most powerful engine of the segment
- The Figo can also get the new 1.5-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine producing maximum power of 123PS and a peak torque of 150Nm
- The 1.5-litre diesel engine also expected to be carried forward
- The facelift versions of Aspire and Figo are also expected to be priced higher than the foregoing models
- They will also get a 6.5-inch floating touchscreen with Apple CarPlay connectivity, Android Auto and the latest SYNC3 infotainment system
