Ford Mustang Convertible Spied on Ground

Reportedly, a facelifted version of the Ford Mustang Convertible has been spied testing on the ground ahead of its expected launch sometime later in 2017 or early 2018. As the car was heavily disguised from all the corners, we have hardly managed to find anything about this car. According to some media reports, such modification will probably be the final upgrade for the beast before an all-new version is going to be introduced near the end of this decade.

If rumors are to be believed, the new vehicle will host some minor cosmetic tweaks in terms of grille, front and rear bumper and lighting units. Apart from the minor tweaks, the 2017 model is expected to have a more efficient transmission unit. Yeah we are talking about the 10-speed automatic gearbox that was earlier reported to come up with regular Mustang unit in 2018. Nothing has officially been said by the company, however, once the unit gets launched in market, it will definitely get head to head with its rivals.

In India, Mustang has made its appearance earlier this year that is powered by the top-of-the-range 5.0-litre V8 naturally aspirated engine and capable of running the unit with a massive power of 401 PS with 515 Nm. Under the nameplate of sixth generation, it is the first time when the Mustang was designed in Right hand drive facility. As the car has been imported directly from the company’s native place, the USA, we could expect such updates like new transmission option to the India-based model as well.
