Hero Dash 110 Scooter Seems to Be Production Ready (Spied)

The Hero Motocorp is continuously working to acquire a major ratio of the scooter segment in the Indian two-wheeler industry. The firm has already offered a wide range of commuter motorcycles for the daily commute purpose and it is hitting a good number of sales as well. The Hero Splendor series of commuter motorcycles, Passion series, Achiever, Hunk, Xtreme and Glamour are some of the warriors of the commuter segment in the Indian two-wheeler industry. The firm is currently offering Hero Maestro and Pleasure under the scooter segment in the country. From the past few months, the Hero Motocorp is believed to be working over a new scooter, probably named as Hero Dash.

Hero Dash Spied Testing

The Hero Dash is spotted testing and it looks like it is a production ready model. By having a close look of the spied scooter, it can also fetch out that it would be an updated version of the existing scooter, Hero Maestro. As of now, the firm has given a code name to the scooter, 'AAWA'. It would probably be named as Hero Specter or might be continue with the Hero Dash.

Technically, the Hero Dash would be featuring a newly tuned 111cc displaced engine incorporated with single-cylinder, air-cooled motor. While mated to a CVT transmission, the 111cc displaced engine is tuned to churn out a maximum power of 8.5 BHP @ 7500 RPM and achieves a peak torque of 9.4 Nm @ 5750 RPM. It is also believed that the upcoming scooter would be expected to receive the Hero Motocorp's patent Integrated Braking system (IBS), which is pretty much similar to the Honda's Combi Braking System (CBS).

This would be the first scooter from the Hero Motocorp, which would be using the Hero's own-developed engine. The Hero Dash would be expected to make its appearance in two variants; LX and VX. VX being the top-end variant, equipped with alloy wheels, USB charging port and exhaust muffler. While the common features would be a semi-digital instrument cluster, external fuel lid, LED tail-light, under-seat storage light, telescopic front forks and a service reminder. The upcoming scooter will be rivaling with the Mahindra Gusto, Suzuki Let’s and Honda Activa carrying an approx price tag of Rs 50,000-55,000 (Ex-Showroom).
