Hero Duet 125 India Launch Slated in Coming Weeks

Hero Duet 125, the company’s flagship which was showcased alongside the Maestro Edge 125 at the 2018 Auto Expo, has been confirmed to launch in coming weeks. A digital flyer which has been leaked online and waving across the web, suggesting the Duet 125 launch soon.

The Hero Duet 125 will be a premium family scooter that will get position over the Hero Duet 125 in company’s lineup. While, in the segment, it will face competition with already available contenders like the Suzuki Access 125, Aprilia SR 125, Vespa LX125, Honda Grazia, TVS Ntorq 125, and the Suzuki Burgman Street 125. The brand’s patented i3S (Idle Stop-Start System) which are being offered with the Hero Maestro Edge for efficient fuel mileage, will also be a part of the Duet 125.

The scooter will be produced in four colour choices of Noble Red, Panther Black, Pearl Silver White and the Chestnut Bronze. In terms of features, wrapped up in an all-metal body, the scooter will be embellished with a mobile charging port, external fuel cap, boot light, telescopic front forks, digital-analogue instrument cluster with service due indicator, dual tone mirrors, tubeless tyres and integrated Braking System as well.

Powering for the Hero Duet 125 will come from a new 125cc, single-cylinder, Energy Boost engine with air cooling. Mated to a CVT transmission, the powertrain is liable to generate 8.70bhp at 6,750 rpm and transmit 10.2Nm at 5,000 rpm to the rear wheel. If the pricing is concerned, the Hero Duet 125 will carry a premium price sticker over the Duet 110 that is priced at INR 52,000 (ex-showroom). We could see a difference of around INR 5,000 in Duet trims pricing.

The Hero Duet 125 will stand on 10-inch alloy wheels with 90-section tubeless tyres. Whereas the automatic scooter’s suspension setup will comprise of a telescopic front fork and a spring loaded hydraulic damper at the rear. The Drum brakes setup at both wheels will handle the braking responsibilities. Packed with a 5.5 litres capacity fuel tank, the scooter is being said to attain the top speed of 85kmph with the aids of this mated engine.
