Hero Glamour leads the Giant in 125cc segment Sales than Honda

As we all know, the Hero MotoCorp, a leading two wheeler manufacturer in India. It almost, always be on the top position of the sales report, every year. And again also this time, it managed to do the same, but not only in overall sales but also in sales of 125cc segment motorcycles. The leading giant, Hero, left the Japanese automaker’s leading 125cc offering Honda CB Shine behind via receiving a considerable increase in the sales of Hero Glamour with in the last three months duration.

According to the Hero MotoCorp, it manages to sell collectively the 125cc motorcycles units of 109,955 in the April month this year, which also consists other offerings like Ignitor and Splendor, besides Glamour. The bike maker gets a hike of nearer 33 per cent in comparison to the units of 82,298 last year in the corresponding month in 2015.

A spokesperson of Hero Motocorp revealed to the media, "Hero Glamour has become the country's largest-selling 125cc motorcycle for three consecutive months this year, thus further consolidating Hero's leadership in the 125cc segment."

While the Japanese giant, Honda cumulatively sold 74,532 units which encompasses both the variant s- CB Shine and the CB Shine SP in this 125cc segment, which was earlier reigning the crown in this segment. The April month sales figure clearly shows the downfall of approx 10.5 percent than the 66,700 units sales in the same month last year.

Now if we compares the sales figure of both the 125cc bikes, the domestic one receives the plus of 14004 units than the Japanese giant in the sales of April 2016 as the sales figures for both the automakers are 66,756 for Hero and 52,752 for Honda. Previous year, the sales figure was completely different as both stood at 51,829 and 73,291 units for the two motorcycles-Hero Glamour and Honda CB Shine respectively.
