This seems to be pretty exciting for the upcoming motorcycles and scooters in India. The Fiat Group owned, Magneti Marelli, is planning to introduce low-cost FI Technology in Indian two-wheelers range. Mr. Saju Mookken, Managing Director and Country Manager of Magneti Marelli India, has recently made an announcement that the firm is planning to introduce the low-cost Fuel-Injection technology with an affordable price in the country. And, above all these, the most exciting part is that the firm will be making its debut with the Indian two-wheeler giant, Hero Motocorp, to embark its name in the Indian two-wheeler market.
With the launch of Magneti Marelli's manufactured Low-Cost FI Technology, it will be directly competing with the newly introduced Bosch low-cost Fuel-Injection Technology. The MD of the Magneti Marelli mentioned that the low-cost FI Technology will first get introduced in the Hero Motorcorp's upcoming products, which have been scheduled for 2015 line-up. Currently, only some of the motorcycles and scooters are equipped with the Fuel-Injection Technology, but they don't suit everyone's pocket.
Mr. Saju Mookken said, "The next pathbreaking technology that we will bring in India is the low-cost fuel-injection system for mass-segment two-wheelers. The first motorcycle (with the technology) will be launched in India with Hero MotoCorp early next year. We will also look at manufacturing another electronic component - e-call (emergency call) system which is a feature like SOS going to be mandatory in some countries. So we will manufacture (the product here) and supply there."
Apart from all these things, it is expected that the most rumored upcoming motorcycles from the Hero Motorcorp, Hero Hastur and Hero HX 250R are being blessed with the low-cost Fuel-Injected Technology by Magneti Marelli. This would be an impressive step of Hero Motocorp towards the environment and also providing high-end features carrying an affordable price tag.
