The recently launched hero Splendor iSmart 110 will now get a disc brake option to provide better security to the riders. Hero Motocorp is about to introduce the variant near this festive season in order to boost up the sales of the motorcycle in question along with the current motorcycle.
The ongoing Splendor iSmart 110 has been armed only with the drum brake and carries a price tag of INR 53,300 (ex-showroom, Delhi). In comparison between disc and drum brakes, the former is always considered safe and secure in terms of the braking performance. Therefore, for obvious reasons, they cost more and hence increases the overall cost of the tourer as well. So, the disc brake variant of the Hero Splendor iSmart 110 is expected to be priced a bit higher, say Rs.2500 to Rs. 3500 more than the present drum brake bike.

Due to its economic nature, the Splendor iSmart 110 is very popular in the rural sector and with the introduction of this variant, the Gurugram-based two-wheeler maker will certainly make up to the target sales, which it has estimated. The anticipations are high this monsoon season. We do hope Hero Motocorp would meet its pursuit of increasing sales on a good scale.
