Hero Xtreme 200R Seeks Great Customer Response in December 2018, Registers 1,438 Units Sale

Hero Xtreme 200R which is the brand’s one of the flagships in premium bike segment received very well by the audience. In the month of December 2018, the bike easily managed to find 1438 happy homes. These are noticeable figures for the motorcycle launched in August last year and get delivered late in time.

The Hero Xtreme 200R debuted in front of the global audience at the 2018 Auto Expo. It could be considered as an evolved iteration of the 150 cc variant of the Xtreme with more powerful powertrain and a host of changes at aesthetics and features.

In its segment, the Xtreme 200R poses a great impact owing to its aggressive pricing. Also, it will help the bike maker in increasing its market share in this premium segment along with the upcoming products like Xpluse 200 soon.

The Xtreme 200R gets a new 199.7 cc single cylinder two-valve engine. The mill is considered a re-engineered iteration of the 150cc engine from the standard model. As claimed by the company, the engine is capable of generating the maximum power of 18.4 PS at 8,000 rpm and the peak torque of 17.1 Nm at 6,500 rpm via a mated 5-speed gearbox.

The braking setup on the motorcycle comprises of 276 mm disc up front and 220mm disc at the rear. While a single channel ABS unit is incorporated as a standard fitment. The suspension duties, on the other hand, are under the supervision of 37 mm telescopic forks at the front and a 7-step adjustable rear mono shock, being offered for the first time from Hero.

The Xtreme 200R rides on 17-inch wheels shod up with MRF tyres of measuring 100/80 sections at the front and 130/70 section tyre at the rear. Based on a diamond type frame, the motorcycle tips the weighing scale at 148kg and gets a 12.5 litres capacity fuel tank. The bike is expected to return the fuel efficiency of 40kmph from the equipped powertrain.

The instrument cluster is a semi-digital offering which gets tachometer as an analogue unit. While others utilities are provided on the digital screen including odometer, fuel gauge, dual trip meter, time and speedometer. However, the features like side stand warning indicator and gear shift indicator are not the part of the bike’s instrument console.

In the colour choices, Hero offers five different colours of Heavy Grey with Orange, Black with Sports Red, Sports Red, Panther Black with Force Silver and Techno Blue to opt your choice.
