Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India has introduced the 2018 model year version of Activa-i at the asking price of INR 50,010. The latest version which is around INR 440 costlier than the regular model, gets the five new colour options along with a host of new features. The list of new colours including red, blue, magenta, purple and grey along with a bunch of new features will help the bike maker in generating more revenue.
Mind you, the Honda Activa-i was primarily introduced in 2013 but never been able to gain popularity likewise its elder sibling, the Activa. Not even that, in terms of body language too, the Activa-i wears sleek design and weighs around 6kg lighter than the Activa which tips at 103kg.

A four-in-one ignition lock and a seat opener switch are the new addition as a part of 2018 MY update. However, we have already witnessed these offerings on brand’s other models like Honda Activa 5G, the Honda Grazia and the 2018 Honda Dio. other major highlights include a front hook, a dual-tone analogue instrument cluster and a metallic exhaust.
In terms of power, the 109cc engine of the outgoing model will continue to power this 2018 Activa-i version from the churned power of 8PS and 9Nm of torque. The suspension setup is also all similar including Honda’s spring type suspension at both ends. The drum brakes units at both wheels in association with Honda’s CBS (Combi Braking System) will take care of the braking.
