Honda Uncovered Cafe Racer Styled Concept CB Type II in Japan

Honda has taken the covers off from the modern classic segment Concept CB Type II at the recently passed 2016 Osaka Motorcycle Show which was held between 19th march to 21st march in Japan. The anticipated prototype of Concept CB Type II is the successor of the old Concept CB and it made us to show the future of Honda CB with air-cooled engine.

Honda Concept CB Type II engine

Aesthetically, the Concept CB Type II had the same backbone, while, affixed a lot of cafe racer styling body cues to give a completely refreshing look to the Honda’s modern classic range. Added body cues are lowered handlebar, bar end mirrors, one-piece seat and good use of carbon fibre bits to give it the sporty look. Suspension setup comprises 43mm Showa gold painted forks at front and sportier Ohlins shock absorber at rear. While, radial-mount Brembo brakes for braking system are in the Concept CB Type II. Moreover, It comes with 17-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels in the place of the predecessor Concept CB’s wire spoke wheels.

The modern classic motorcycles genre has not that demand and popularity like other segments in the market. But with in few years lot more hike has been noticed in the modern classic range motorcycles, as recently British automaker, Triumph rolled out new Bonneville range. Mostly, the petrolheads of the European countries attracts more towards these kind of bikes which are powerful, comfortable and easy going in comparison to the superbikes and naked streetfighters. The production version of the Concept CB Type II, the new Honda CB1100 will go head to head, when launched, with other modern classics, litre-class motorcycles like the Yamaha XJR1300 and the Triumph Thruxton R.
