Forwarding Honda's marketing strategy in the digital sector, the automaker has come up with a 'CB Hornet 160R' mobile application that will enable users to get quick info about the newly unveiled bike and to book the Honda two-wheeler exclusively via this android app. The idea is for the tech-savvy generation tied-up on to the social media and apps. Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India launched the CB Hornet 160R a couple of days before and targeted mainly at the younger audience for its marketing.
Honda has got an overwhelming response of 10,000 downloads of the android booking app within a matter of one week, so the company extended its plan for the availability of 160R from the initial 21 cities to 53 cities across the country. For all those customers, who are outside of the specified 53 cities, can make a request post and whenever the motorcycle becomes available, they will get informed.
To make the booking, customers only need to click the "book now" button on the mobile application. The user will be re-directed to a payment gateway where he/she needs to pay Rs. 5000, which is followed by a transaction confirmation. Once the transaction gets successful, details about the expected date of delivery will be displayed on the mobile screen of the user. The app can be downloaded from Google Play by the name 'CB Hornet 160R' and can be installed easily. The bike is available in two variants- Single Disc and Double Disc with CBS, and with 5 distinct color options- Neo Orange Metallic, Pearl Amazing White, Sports Red, Pearl Siren Blue & Pearl nightstar Black. Pricing for the motorcycle starts from Rs. 79,990 (Ex-Showroom, New Delhi).
