India Bound Latest Ford Figo Unscrewed

For South Africa, Ford has recently made a confirmation that its latest Figo hatchback and Sedan (aka Figo Aspire in India) will be arriving at the dealerships in the fourth quarter in this ongoing year. Both of these upcoming models will be exported from Ford's new Sanand plant placed in India just like the Figo, Classic and EcoSport, which have been already exported from Chennai to the South African markets. Complete details about the hatchback variant is yet to be revealed, but the officials have unveiled that it will be available in petrol as well as diesel fuel mill options with manual and automatic transmissions.

This hatchback model is reported to share its engines with the Figo Aspire, which is likely to make its appearance in the Indian showrooms from next month. Hence it will be powered by the same 1.2 litre TiVCT petrol and 1.5 litre TDCi diesel units. Equipments wise, the runabout will get a programmable MyKey, Bluetooth including Voice Activation, automatic climate control, ABS, ESP, Hill Launch Assist and additional standard dual front airbags.

As compared to the existing one, the new upcoming Figo will be more sporty and impressive to deliver more plausible journey for its passengers. In the Indian automobile market, the hatchback version is also anticipated to be released at the same time with its launch in South Africa.
