Suzuki will be looking to cover the automobile market of South East Asia, Europe(United Kingdom, France, Germany particularly) and Brazil possibly. So, we can say that the Jimny will be exported overseas to these markets too. Subsequently, the model may also be sold in Japan.

The dealers in some key markets have been demanding a new model for some time as the Jimny has been an important product of the firm. The model has a legacy and the company will need to maintain that with the new 4th generation model.

The Jimny is also expected to come with a 4X4 system just like the upcoming Ignis as standard. The model will use 1.0 liter booster jet on the engine front as standard which can be seen in the upcoming Baleno RS, besides the Ignis as well. The Diesel variant of the model may not be introduced but a more powerful 1.4-liter booster jet variant may be revealed soon which will possibly come with an automatic gearbox. That variant of the model is likely to be sold as BSVI model in India only.
