Maruti Suzuki has already launched its Celerio last year in the Indian market and it was established as the most inexpensive AMT hatchback in the country till the launch of the latest Alto K10. Now, the manufacturer is about to set up more affordable runabout by updating the Celerio with diesel trim and the sources have claimed that the vehicle has commenced testing. The car includes the subtle changes alongside the DDiS badging on the front wheel arches. It is expected to get rolled out in the first half of the next year.
The diesel variant of the Maruti Celerio seems to be machined with the 800cc twin cylinder engine. The carriage will produce the appreciable power of 50 bhp as well as maximum torque of 130 Nm alongside the excellent 5 speed transmission system. Notably, the motor is anticipated to hit the distance of 30 km in only 1 litre of fuel. This time also, the AMT technology might be available in the Maruti Celerio diesel and the forthcoming hatchback is expected to add INR 50,000 to INR 75,000 extra price with regard to its outgoing version.
