Lamborghini Launches lp580-2 Model in India

Not much time has passed since Lamborghini globally launched the Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2 model at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, and now just three days after the global release it has all over again launched the same model in India, priced at INR 2.99 crores (ex-showroom Delhi). When Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO, Automobile Lamborghini SpA was asked to comment, he said that India was a big market for the company and the SUV, Urus, will also make its way to India by 2018.

The new model can easily sprint from 0-100kmph in just 3.4 seconds (0.2 seconds slower than the Huracan LP610-4) and is powered by a 5.2-litre V10 engine which has been slightly detuned to produce 580 PS of power. All the 528hp produced by it is sent to the rear wheels and that is one of the reasons why this model has its last digit as 2. On the transmission front the model has been equipped with A 7-speed DCT gearbox. Lamborghini enthusiasts who complained about the standard AWD system taking the fun out of driving around corners can now enjoy the ride with the RWD Huracan.

To further differentiate from its AWD sibling, the Huracan LP580-2 has also got restyled front and rear bumpers to make it look different from the four wheel drive version. It has also been equipped with steel disc brakes with aluminum disc pots and features a retuned suspension, an improved steering system as well as recalibrated stability and traction control systems.
