Lexus Teases Out New Entry-Level UX SUV

The first ever teaser of the production-spec UX from Lexus is out and the launch is expected at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show in March. This news is out after two years of the UX showcase its concept at the Paris Motor Show in 2016. The new SUV expects a launch at Geneva later this year.

The company has revealed a teaser mentioning the rear profile and width-spanning LED tail lamps. The silhouette of the new production model is also the same as the concept from the rear side. We can expect this new SUV more edgy and sharp like the other company models, but we expect the polarising like the UX model will not be included. New entry-level UX SUV is powered by a hybrid powertrain and a turbocharged petrol options as its bigger comrade, the NX.

The three competitors to the new production model including the BMW X1, the Mercedes-Benz GLA, and the Audi Q3 are performing well in India. The segment is expected to take new launch in form of the Volvo XC40.

Furthermore, as the company brings new model range in the country through a CBU route, it would be convenient for the manufacturer to unveil the new production SUV in India as it goes on sale in global markets. You can expect the UX to be priced slightly high than its comrades. The price range of BMW X1 begins from Rs 32.40 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
