Mahindra, a well known brand in the small commercial vehicle industry, has launched a new mini truck named 'Jeeto'. It will be available with two powertrain options of 11 Hp and 16 Hp producing a torque of 38 Nm. There will also be two payload options of 600 kg and 700 kg and three deck lengths. This vehicle will offer a warranty of 40,000 kilometres or 2 years. The base model will be priced at INR 2.35 Lacs (ex-showroom, Thane) while the top end variant will be costing INR 2.70 Lacs (ex-showroom, Thane).
This newly launched mini truck will cater to the customers using three-wheeler vehicles including micro and mini-trucks. The line-up will have three variants- S Series, L Series and X Series. This vehicle will be powered by a direct injected M-Dura diesel engine, which will provide a fuel efficiency between 27.8 and 37.6 Kmpl. The engine will be paired with a 4-speed manual transmission which will be standard for all variants. With a low maintenance cost, this mini truck will prove to be 30% more profitable than its competitors.
The Jeeto will be manufactured at the Zaheerabad plant of Mahindra located in Telangana. It will be available in five colours including- Diamond White, Ultramarine Blue, Sunrise Red, Premium Beige and Mango Yellow. Reportedly, this vehicle will be exported to countries like Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan. Mahindra also plans to develop a new passenger model and withdraw the current model Gio from market.
