Mahindra and Mahindra has made an announcement today in which they had mentioned about an Automatic Transmission unit with its another XUV500 variant. It will be a W6 front wheel drive version, which is going to be added in the list of AT models alongside the W8 and W10. With this new attachment, it is going to be available on sale across all the company's dealership at the price tag of INR 14.29 Lakhs (Ex-showroom, Navi Mumbai).
In the Indian auto market, there are very less AT options in this particular segment. If we look at the list there is only a couple of models present i.e Hyundai Creta (INR 14.79 Lakhs) and Renault Duster (INR 11.95 Lakhs and INR 13.15 Lakhs). As you can see, the new updated XUV500 W6 comes at a more reasonable price than the Creta but more costly than the Duster.
Well the responsibilities of the automatic gearbox will be taken care of by a 6-speed, which will be mated to a 2.2-litre four-cylinder engine. Along with the aggressive and bold looks, the interior of the car is also good enough to lure the buyers.
Some of the amazing features are projector headlamps, automatic climate control, 7-inch infotainment system with touchscreen display, cruise control, dual airbags, rain sensing wipers, etc. Furthermore, we has also reported about the launch of an AT version of the same car in Australia, but with the W8 model.
