As per some recent reports by PTI, the carmakers Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai have registered impressive sales figure for the month of December 2015. The major contribtors in sales have been models including Creta, Grand i 10 and Maruti Baleno. Apart from these brands, Mahindra & Mahindra remained in the positive sphere despite being affected by the diesel vehicle registration ban in Delhi that affected many models.

Talking about the sales figure of Maruti Suzuki, it witnessed a hike by 13.5% with 1,11,333 units sold this year as compared to 98,109 units being sold in 2014. Further, the number of compact cars dispatched like Swift, Dzire and Baleno increased by 14% reaching to 47,354 units in the last month.
Moving on, sales of Alto and Wagon R hiked by 7.5% thereby reaching from 34,625 units to 37,234 units. As far as the utility vehicles are concerned, Ertiga and S-Cross sales were measured at 9,168 units. Overall, Maruti Suzuki was able to record total sales of 14 lakh units in the year 2015.
Hyundai Motors India also performed remarkably in December 2015 with sales figure reaching to 41,861 as compared to 32,504 units sold in December 2014 which went up by 28.78%. With the cumulative growth of 15.7%, the company managed to enjoy total sales of 4,76,001 units in the calender year 2015. The major contribution in this include all new Creta along with updated models Grand i10 and Elite i20 .
