Maruti S-Cross Launched in India at INR 8.34 Lacs

Maruti S-Cross has been finally launched today in the capital city Delhi at INR 8.34 Lacs. It will be sold with two engine options namely 200 DDiS and 320 DDiS. The former will have four trims across the range while the latter will include three variants. It will be sold exclusively through company's newly established Nexa showrooms located at all major cities of the country. It has been one of the most awaited models of this year and customers' expectations are too high from this mill. Now that it has arrived in the market, all the features and specifications have been disclosed with complete confirmation.

Under the hood, the 200 DDiS variant carries a 1.3 litre diesel unit, which can pump out 89 Bhp and 200 Nm of torque. The engine is clubbed with a five-speed manual gearbox linked to an FWD setup. It is claimed to be the most fuel efficient model with an ARAI rated mileage of 23.65 kmpl. Moving on, the 320 DDiS trim gets a 1.6 litre turbocharged diesel unit that delivers 120 PS and 320 Nm. For transmission, it is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The fuel efficiency on offer is measured as 22.7 kmpl.

It is loaded with features like16-inch alloys, Electrically fold-able ORVMs, center armrest at the rear, cruise control, climate control, projector headlamps and rain sensing wipers. It also gets leather upholstery, airbags, ABS and disc brakes as standard features across the range. This upcoming crossover is going to be big obstacle for models like Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and Mahindra Scorpio. However, its major competitor is going to be the newly launched Hyundai Creta.
