Finally, the waiting clock for the Celerio diesel has been reached at the last stage as Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch this hatchback in India tomorrow. It will be introduced as the most fuel efficient car in its league with returning an impressive fuel efficiency of 27.62 km/l. Currently, the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire has worn this crown since the day of its introduction with rendering a mileage of 26.6 km/l. Now, this crown will be taken away from the Celerio diesel, which promises to bestow 1.02 km/l extra fuel efficiency than the Swift Dzire.
Power will come from the brand's self developed 793 cc twin cylinder DdiS diesel mill, which is good in making power of 47 bhp at 3,500 rpm and torque of 125 Nm at 2,000 rpm. The same engine will also be seen in the other forthcoming products of Maruti Suzuki. A 5-speed manual transmission as well as a hydraulic clutch will be available for sending the produced output to the wheels of this runabout.The Celerio diesel will have beige and black interior with power steering, key reminder and door ajar warning.
Moreover, its top end variant will feature dual front airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) alongside EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution), front and rear power windows, steering mounted controls, music system with Bluetooth connectivity, keyless entry, fog lights and alloy wheels.
It will be available in total four variants, such as Lxi, Vxi, Zxi and Zxi (O) between the expected price of INR 4.6 Lac to INR 5.7 Lac.
