The Maruti Suzuki's SX4 sedan was not the very famous in the market, but was producing decent sales only. Now, the company has decided to turn the production down for the sedan and a crossover with the name SX4 S-Cross will take the place of the car. Although, the news has been in the air for quite some time about the car and the participation of the people is very good, but still it'll be very early to say anything about the car. However, the engine details about the car have been rolled out and I'll be sharing them with you.
The car will be available with diesel fuel option only, with 2 options to select from. The first one will be the Fiat's very famous 1.3 Litre Multijet 4-cylinder engine, which is currently the hot piece of power for all the Maruti cars and others as well. This 1.3 Litre engine can produce 75 PS power in small hatchback cars like Swift and 90 PS power in the heavier cars like Ertiga. The 2nd option of the engine will be the 1.6 Litre diesel unit and this engine will produce 90 PS power and 110 PS power, according to your wish and requirements.
The SX4 S-Cross will be a good competitor of the cars like Ford EcoSport, Reanault Duster, Toyota Etios Cross and Volkswagen Cross Polo as well. The car will be launched in India by the early next year and will be priced between INR 7-11 Lac.
