The long-awaited Maruti Suzuki YBA Compact SUV launch might take place at the Auto Expo 2016, which has been scheduled to start from February 5. Apart from this YBA concept, the company will also launch 2 more cars that is SX-4 S-Cross and YRA concept as well. All these cars will mark the entry of the company in hugely anticipated crossover car segment of India which is currently being dominated by likes of Ford EcoSport, Nissan Terrano and Renault Duster. Coming back to this YBA concept, it has already been spied testing many times on the country roads, but it still has to get a name from the company and I guess that will be out soon as well.
Maruti will offer this upcoming YBA concept in both diesel and petrol model. The petrol motor would be the famous 1.2 Litre k-series one or 1.0 Litre turbocharged unit, while the diesel engine would be Fiat's Multijet engine. Other details are due in upcoming months.
The company is planning to sell around 20 Lac cars once all 3 compact SUVs get launched in India. Coming to the price, this YBA concept might get placed in range between INR 5-8 Lac Ex-Showroom.
