Maruti Vitara Brezza Bookings to Commence This Week

Some fresh market reports suggest that the upcoming Maruti Vitara Brezza bookings will kick off this week during the Expo and the launch is likely to take place sometime between the months of February and March. The compact SUV is all set to be presented at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo and till then we will have to get ourselves satisfied with the teasers only. Reportedly, Maruti's DDiS 200 diesel motor that does duty on the Ertiga and Ciaz, will be fitted under the hood of upcoming Vitara. This engine develops 90PS and 200Nm of peak torque.

Talking about the looks, it will be largely identical to its big brother Vitara regarding the overall appearance. Coming to the features, it will be found equipped with projector headlamps, roof rails, rear window washer and wiper, 16-inch alloys, integrated rear spoiler, single slat aluminium and covered grille. Other prominent probable features include faux skid plate, body cladding, SmartPlay infotainments system with Apple CarPlay, push button start, cruise control, and rear parking camera.

After the launch, the vehicle will be competing with the newly introduced Mahindra TUV300 and the famous Ford EcoSport model. It will be rolled out in different variants namely LDi, LDi (O), VDi, VDi (O), ZDi and ZDi +. It is anticipated that initially, it will get a diesel engine, which will be paired to a manual gearbox, while an AMT would be optional. A petrol variant is also likely to be added to the lineup at a later date.
