The German car maker Mercedes-Benz's C350 hybrid plugin has been revealed ahead of Detroit Motor Show 2015 and will take a guard BMW 3 series and Audi A4 in the future. The car is considered as the smaller cousin of already revealed M-Benz S500 hybrid car which is an affordable unit offered by the company. The C350 Hybrid version will be getting powered by a 2.0 Litre 4-Cylinder engine and electric motor making total output of 275 bhp power and 600 Nm torque, out of which around 80 bhp power and 340 Nm torque has been generated by the electric motor. The power transmitted to the rear wheels using its 7-speed automatic transmission box using the automated clutch.
This car can be driven in both hybrid and pure electric mode with the acceleration of 5.9 sec and 6.2 seconds with top speed of 350 km/h and 246 km/h respectively. There also are many modes available in it for driving namely Economy, Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus and Individual along with the 4 electric mode, namely Hybrid, E-Mode, E-Save and Charge modes as well.
The motor gets charged in 2 hours time via a 240 volt charge point and can go to the distance of 31 km in a single charge. This new sedan definitely seems promising in the niche, but the final result would be declared only after the testing review and for that we must wait until the Detroit Motor Show 2015 begins.
