New Audi Q7, Q3 Special Editions Introduced

The special editions of the Audi Q7 and O3 are introduced in India with a price tag of Rs. 82.37 lakh and Rs 40.76 respectively. Considering Design Editions, these models obtain additional features to the cabin and cosmetically modified exteriors. 

The Q3 Design Edition is available with the 35TDI model, taking power from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder, turbo-diesel engine which is able to churn out a peak power of 184hp and a peak torque of 380Nm. The models run on all-wheel-drive and come mated to a seven-speed automatic gearbox option. Audi is able to deliver a fuel efficiency remark for the Q3 35TDI of 15.17kpl. 

The Q3 Design Edition ranges from the Premium Plus at Rs. 39.68 lakh and the Technology trim available at Rs. 42.88 lakh in the Audi Q3 line-up. It will obtain all the Premium Plus variant featuring parking assist, cruise control, Audi’s MMI infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, power-adjustable front seats, LED DRL, LED headlamps and 18-inch alloys.

Further, the Design Edition includes characteristics like Quattro decals, clear-lens tail-lamps, a key cover, and illuminated door sills. The cabin also comes equipped with a coat hanger and Nappa leather upholstery.

The special-edition Q7 takes power from a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with the 40TFSI generating a peak power of 252hp and a 3.0-litre turbo-diesel motor with the 45TDI producing a maximum power of 249hp. Both engines of the models come paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission setup and run on an all-four-wheel-drive system. The fuel efficiency is rated with ARAI for the motors capable of producing 11.68kpl and 14.75kpl mileage respectively.

The Audi Q7 Design Edition is ranked between the Technology variants (Rs 81.00-85.18 lakh) and the Premium Plus (Rs 73.73-77.90 lakh). Further, it takes features like Audi’s MMI infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, Audi-emblem decals on the D-pillar, a cool Audi bag, rear­-seat entertainment, smoked tail-lamps.

These special editions will assist the company to sell out more of units of the SUVs. The Q3 rivals to the BMW X1, Volvo XC40, Mercedes GLA, whereas the Audi Q7 competes for the Volvo XC90, BMW X5, and the Mercedes GLS.
