Google has planned to introduce Robo-taxis which will serve the passengers according to their need. After the neutral attitude by various car companies, Google will manufacture the Robo-automobiles itself.
The company will craft these cars for pick and drop facility. The final target behind these drivers -less cars is to manufacture a Robo-taxi which will provide the facility according to the need of passengers. The company officials think that this type of system will change the transport system in the world. According to a report by 'The Times', Google has said that the number of accidents will also become less compare to these days. It will be beneficial for the environment too.
Google has taken this decision to make driver-less taxis after discussing with many automobile manufacturer companies in the world. The company has developed a self driving system after a self driving campaign in 2010. This system has been installed in Toyota Prius and Lexus RX. These cars feature camera, radar and sensors.
According to a website, these two vehicles have got the permission of a test drive on the British roads. Perhaps it was considered that global companies were not in the favor of Google to establish itself in the automobile market. The company has decided to design the car by their own due to lazy attitude of the firms.
It will be manufactured in the future technique branch Google X. This branch had manufactured Google Glasses as well. The company is planning for a joint venture with a big car maker for parts and other components.
