The famous automaker Ford seems to be having a great time in the market nowadays. It is doing pretty well with all its models not only in India but across the globe as well. After launching the Aspire and updated Figo hatchback, it has braced itself to come up with the facelift version of its EcoSport SUV. Interestingly, this vehicle has already registered a huge success both in the form of domestic sales along with exports. As per a recent report by Indianautosblog, the MD of Ford India has confirmed that the updated car will arrive in the showrooms even before the upcoming Christmas.

The Indian spec model will continue to be offered with a tailgate mounted spare wheel but for European customers, it will be an optional facility. This is because Indians prefer a sporty and tough design, while others may find it out of place. Discussing the interiors, the cabin is likely to feature a SYNC entertainment system with a 4-inch color display, satellite navigation facility, reverse parking camera, chrome accents on handbrake, power window buttons, etc. The entry level trim could get a driver side airbag while there are supposed to be 6 airbags for the top end variant.

It is expected to continue with the 1.5 litre Ti-VCT and 1 litre turbocharged EcoBoost engines under its hood. Besides, the 1.5 litre TDCi diesel motor that drives Ford's sedan and hatchback cars, could also be a part of the engine lineup. This setup returns a mileage of 25.83km/l on the updated Figo and Aspire models.
