New Ford EcoSport to be Set Up Sometime in 2016

After showcasing the next generation EcoSport at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Ford is surrounded by the market reports for taking a next step via commencing its testing on the Indian ways ahead of the launch that could be possible sometime next year. A few cosmetic as well as mechanical changes will be applied on the upcoming Ford EcoSport in order to make it more powerful than the current one. Well, power is same as the existing model, 1.5 litre TDCi diesel unit, but this time the manufacturer will apply subtle changes in order to offer more power for the customers.

The mildly tweaked oil burner powertrain will have the capacity to churn out the power of 95 PS. Ford will retouch the rear suspension for improving its duty, whereas  the ground clearance will be reduced by 10 mm. The European spec version has been confirmed to have updated Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Steering for better driving experience.

It will get an optional spare wheel and will also be available with a puncture repair kit and redesigned door comprising registration plate enclosure for those, who want to prefer this crossover without a spare wheel. Moreover, the EcoSport will receive SYNC system with 4 inch color display, instrument cluster and buttons along with additional chrome detailing, partial leather seats for Titanium trim, new charcoal black shaded centre console and door boards.

Other features will be coming in the winter package packed with heated windscreen and rear seat floor level ventilation. Just like the current one, the next generation Ford EcoSport will be sent to the European markets from Chennai. On the other hand, the exact date for its Indian launch is yet to be confirmed.
