As per the announced plans, the renowned automobile giant Ford has rolled out the much talked about Figo hatchback at Indian shores. From cosmetic to mechanical elements, everything has been re-designed considerably to impart an upmarket look to this car. It has been introduced in both diesel and petrol engine options priced at INR 4.29 Lacs and INR 5.29 Lacs respectively. The manufacturing will be take place in Sanand, Gujarat. Models like Hyundai Grand i10, Chevrolet Beat, Maruti Swift and Honda Brio will be some of the major competitors for the new Figo.
Talking about its styling, it is heavily inspired from Figo Aspire, which is enjoying a favourable response from the customers. The fascia highlights a stylish grille borrowed from Aston Martin, bordered by two sweptback headlamps. It also gets a well-toned bumper, raked windshield, flared wheel arches and 15-inch alloys that appear like lotus petals.

Moving inside, the car gets an all black cabin including the steering wheel, center console and seat covers. It also receive silver accents on portions like armrests and air conditioning vents. Besides, features like SYNC2 infotainment system with 4.2 inch display, automatic climate control, multifunctional steering wheel and digital instrument cluster also add up to the list of equipments. Safety will be ensured with the help of airbags, ABS, EBD, rear parking sensors, engine immobilizer, etc.
As mentioned above, this car is available in both diesel and petrol trims including one diesel and two petrol variants. Engine will be coupled to either a five-speed manual or a six-speed DSG automatic transmission facility. The fuel efficiency delivered by petrol model is rated at 18.16 km/l, while the diesel unit will be good enough to return 25.83 km/l. The details of the powertrain lineup can be explained as follows:
