No Nonsense Motocross: Husqvarna 701 Supermoto at EICMA

The Swedish motor maker Husqvarna has displayed their super motocross model 701 Supermoto at the EICMA event organized in Milan, Italy. It is a visually similar thing to the KTM 690 SMC R with the sober styling of Husky. The bike is very less on fairings and other load increasing stuffs. It has been provided with the solid frame and engine to perform under worst scenarios.

Husqvarna 701 Supermoto is powered by a 690cc Single cylinder liquid cooled engine and it churns out 67PS of power at 7,500 RPM. The torque figures matches with the 68Nm @ 5,500RPM. The KTM ditto is also boasting the same engine and the plans don’t seem to be changing anytime in the future. A 6 speed gear box is commanding the range of the bike’s caliber. A lot of other futuristic features have also been installed in this bike including fly by wire throttle, which allows the rider to switch within 3 modes of operation. Apart from this, the APTC slipper clutch and ABS have also been provided for better grip over the gears and roads.

Husqvarna has also introduced their concept motorbikes in Scrambler category also. The 401 Vitpilen and 401 Svartpilen are also playing hard in their concept apotheosis. There is a lot more to arrive from the event, so keep tuned over here.
