In the state of Tamil Nadu, the political party of late chief minister J Jayalalithaa, All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and the honorary Prime Minister Narendra Modi together are all set to launch ‘Amma Scooter’ scheme on the 70th birth anniversary of Amma, J Jayalalithaa. The scheme is targeted to the women audience under which they will be get benefited with the subsidy of 50% or INR 25,000 on the purchase of a two-wheeler. The only condition is the vehicle should be under 125cc and brought via women.
Other than this, the various other facilities which are being provided by the TN government for the women will also be further included in the Amma Scheme.
- The women who will fulfil this write down criteria will fall under the scheme
- The annual income of the family women belongs to, must be under INR 2.5 lakh
- The subsidy is availed for women of age between 18 to 40 years
- A woman from a family is eligible for the scheme
- The families which are ruled by women, widows, differently abled women and transgenders
To avail with the prescribed subsidy the interested candidate has to download the application form and submit it with all the necessary documents to the authorities.
On February 24, 2018, Saturday, AIADMK, in the presence of PM Narendra Modi will launch the Amma Scooter scheme in Tamil Nadu.
