Renault, the France based automaker has been pushing its car sales in India in every segment like sedan, hatchback and SUV. Now the company has even extended its fleet by adding Lodgy MUV just a few days back. The Lodgy will take on against likes of Honda Mobilio and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. Also, with this launch, the company now has at least one car in each of the popular segment in India. But, as the company informed earlier that it is working towards increasing its share in India and so it would be launching one more hatchback in India named as XBA to counter big names like Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 and Hyundai Grand i10.
The car is based on the CMF-A platform and hence will be efficient and performance oriented as well. The car will be priced under 4-Lac and then only it can take fight against the name mentioned above. The car will be launched during the festive season which gets the most car sales during whole year and I guess the strategy is perfect for the company. The designing has also been improved and according to the company, this car will have many new design cues which haven't been seen on any Renault car till now.
Talking about engine, the details haven't been out till now, but it is expected to be powered by a 800cc petrol engine and will be optimized to offer high fuel efficiency as well. Well, let us just wait and watch the launch of the car and only then we'll be able comment on it.
