Reports: Next-Gen Renault Clio to Introduce with Revolutionary Interior Design

Since its launch in the auto world in 1990, the Renault Clio has been a magnificent success for selling over millions of units across the world. Known as the first ever smallest and cheapest car in comparison to its rivals such as the Hyundai i10, Chevrolet Spark and others, it is currently running under the nameplate of fourth generation version introduced back in 2012. It is quite obvious that the French automaker has been working on the next-gen Clio that is going to be debuted in the year 2018.

Now, according to the company’s Senior Vice President of design, Laurens Van Den Acker, the company will soon go through an update in order to celebrate a revolutionary interior design. Well, the most striking thing is that it will first come out with the fifth generation Clio. Further, it has also been revealed that the all-new supermini will be possibly displayed at the 2018 Paris Motor Show and later on take place in the market soon after the next generation Renault Megane RS and Koleos SUV.

Speaking to Auto Express, Laurens Van Den Acker said, “Our customers look at the exterior and go “woah” but then they look at the interior and go “Huh?”

Further, he conveyed, “ We need to make sure our next interiors live up to the standards of the exterior,” he told us. “We have more people [at Renault] working on interiors than ever before, and we are pushing a revolution”

However, some cosmetic tweaks will also be considered, but, the big changes will be seen inside the car in terms of better fabric, cabin ambience and contemporary technology. “It used to be that just luxury cars had all of the techs for a long time, but now it will take just one or two years before the latest systems filter down to smaller models,” also added by Van Den Acker.
